Brandon Hall is a hard working artist of many trades. He received his BFA in Illustration in 2005 from The Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. Brandon Hall is a hard working artist of many trades. He received his BFA in Illustration in 2005 from The Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. He then proceeded to further his education by receiving his Masters Degree in Art Education from The Maryland Institute College of Art in 2006. Although fine art and Illustration became a major focus for Brandon, he has always had an undying love for listening/writing/playing music. He has been playing trumpet/backup singing with a local Syracuse, NY favorite ska/alternative band named The Action! (formerly Skatos) for 9 years off and on. They have 2 full length studio albums: Skatalogical (1998) and Waiting For Tuesday (2001) as well as 2 studio EP's: 16 Hour EP (2002) and We All Make Mistakes (2007). Brandon also is a founding member and drummer/backup singer of The Amazing Shakes, a galactic-surf rock band from Syracuse, NY. They have recorded a studio EP entitled: 8 Songs To Catch A Fish (2005) and have been known to blow the minds of all who attend their shows. Then suddenly in April of 2006 Brandon became ill and was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) while finishing his Masters Degree in Baltimore, MD. He is undergoing heavy chemotherapy and will continue to do so for another 2 years. As a way of dealing with his new found illness, Brandon decided he needed to try and challenge himself further musically to take his mind away from his grueling chemotherapy schedule. The result is an original full length, 11 song album through which he wrote/performed/recorded/mixed all the songs himself. Such tracks as "East Adams Street", "Candy Snake Skin" and more became an anthem for Brandon as he created an audio journal of life with cancer, relationships, and social commentary.
