About Brassco

Grand Prairie , TX

Ask Brassco what was the rap record that changed his life and he says. "How High with Method Man and RedMan. I always listened to rap but when I heard RedMan's verse it was an eye popping experience, I knew thats what and how I wanted to rap, Sick." Brass cos dream is now reality with his album "Its In the Air" and soon to be released album "Death of A Salesman." Its hip-hop that doesnt rely on gimmicks and formula to get the job done: just a sick beat and tremendous flow. "Ive always said Im not a gangsta or a thug, Im me and my music reflects my soul."
Brassco describes the first single, "Do Your Thang", as being a radio smash. Its catchy, a good club record with great potential. Another bangin record is "Think It Over" which is strictly for the ladies. This song just came to me, I heard the beat and just started spittin Brassco explains. Its another feel good song. Brassco is becoming a fixture in the highly competitive Dallas Hip-hop scene, appearing on compilations creating a buzz with long time friend and producer Russell Lopez and partner in rhyme Depo. Lopez and I have been doing this since high school his production is second nature to my flow, it blends together so easy.
Born In Dallas, Tx, Brassco lived there till he was 19 when he joined the navy. I think that was a great experience for me mentally and for my maturity. I was only enlisted for a year, but during that time I had a daughter with my ex and now Im a single father raising her on my own. Being around people from all over the globe and them telling me what they liked and disliked about my music. It really gave me and edge to stepping up my level of spit. Ask Brassco whats he wants people to walk away with after checking out his material and he replies, "A better feel of me. I am a real person and my music reflects real things. I would never spit about anything I havent done or seen firsthand. Im a Lyricist with a great ear for music."
