Biography Breckenridge Road is an Americana/rock band from Bakersfield California. The story of Breckenridge Road plays out like a love story. Glen and Lindi Pellett met in the summer of 1989 while still in high school. They went their separate ways and lived life apart, never forgetting that summer. Then five years later, fate kicked in and they met again at a bar in downtown Bakersfield. Immediately the chemistry to make music and babies was undeniable. They started writing songs, playing local bars and coffee houses around town while raising their three children. Now backed by a collection of talented band members they continue to deliver their own brand of soulful music. “When someone walks up to us and says that one of our songs has helped them that will be the day we have made it big as far as we are concerned” says Glen, singer songwriter and lead guitarist for the band. Breckenridge Road’s style of music reflects the sounds of such legendary artist like John Mellencamp and Tom Petty. At the same time delivering a message that everything will be okay and life is fun in their own unique style. Lindi, lead singer for Breckenridge Road sang in school chorus as a teen. As an adult she has worked with local singing groups including a USO tribute group. Working a 9 to 5 job to pay the bills and performing at night to make the other ends meet. Glen has been writing music since he was a child, first on the piano after hours at the Baptist church in Trona California, then on guitar after moving to Bakersfield at the age of 12. He learned some his first chords from now Breckenridge Road drummer Klis Stowers, an old high school buddy. He has worked many jobs over the years to support his family including working in the Kern County oilfields. They are backed by the talents of Mike Money on bass guitar and Klis Stowers on drums. Listen to this band and you will realize that the American song is still alive. Someone is out there writing songs about you and your life and they call themselves Breckenridge Road.
