Brian Troy grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. Music has been a part of hislife from an early age. He started in elementary school with the viola andtrumpet. When he was about 10 years old he picked up the bass guitar.Trumpet and bass remained his main instruments throughout high schooland into college. His musical skills earned him a scholarship to the Universityof Louisville where he studied music composition.After college, Brian followed a career in computers. He spent a long six yearson the road as a key member of a large consulting group. As his career tookhim further away from music, he longed to get back home to his family, hishometown, and making music. He quickly setup a small professional studioin his home where he continuously writes and records new material. Brian was recently recognized as the vocalist and bass player of the corporaterock group, Stëampünk. Stëampünk scored a coveted spot in FortuneMagazine's Battle of the Corporate Bands, sponsored by the Rock-n-RollHall of Fame. Stëampünk earned their way to the regional showcase at theGibson Custom Shop in Nashville in July of 2007. Since then, Stëampünkhas played various Louisville venues.An active guitar player for more than 15 years, Brian has created an extensiveset of both rocking covers and creative original songs. He currently plays shows in and around Louisville.
