Whenever I hear an artist that has one or 2 songs that I really like, I have a habit of exhausting that persons entire arsenal... So after 24 years of listening to music from classical to country and everything in between my brain has become more or less like a human ipod... Due to the fact that I have such a love for this type of artistry, it was only a matter of time before I started to make my own music... When I first started I was like any other rookie in the game, only difference is that I didn't stop, when I hit the wall of frustration, and writers block among other things. Not to say that I am the best, I'm not even saying that I'm great, but I know what it takes to get to that level. In a business like this, everyone has a different oppinion on what they like and dislike, so it is essential to have a thick skin so to speak. With that and a never give up attitude, the only thing that is in the way is time. That is what I tell everyone that is young in the game. This is a growing experience, Everyday we grow and learn more as individuals, and every song we write we grow as well. One of the best things about writing your own music is that after you have a lot of songs you can take a look back and see exactly how much you have grown with your music.. I feel that I have come a very long way, but there is still a long road ahead of me and it is never ending, throughout my life I'm gonna write no matter what I do...
