Coming of age in Lowell, Massachusetts, Charlie Christos began performing in Biker bars at 7 years old. By 14, he had hopped on stage to open for the Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, Cheap Trick, and Edgar Winter among many others with his dad’s classic rock band.
Traveling with a guitar, tobacco pipe, and a handful of psych books, Charlie has since been touring the rugged and picturesque landscape of New England, performing over 200 shows last year alone as a solo artist. The response has been overwhelming to his startlingly honest, but refined songwriting and engaging live show.
This past summer, after being immersed for 5 months in the production of his 2nd studio album “Widow’s Gun” (which is hand-bound in the fashion of an antique children’s book), Charlie, with a handful of U.S. dates booked, moved into his car, and toured the country to perform. He filled in the gaps along the way busking, and knocking on bar room doors, playing to whoever would listen.
He is currently touring with Jim Lavin and Maarten Reijnierse of the Band Melou who have recently wrapped up their 2nd European Tour, and Chris Cleveland. They can be seen at numerous high profile rooms in their home base of Boston, MA, and along the Eastern Seaboard this fall.
