Chasing Canadia are a true product of their environment; a 5 piece band that started humbly as an experiment in friendship and musical exploration. Roaming the halls of their small high school in central Indiana between classes and marching band rehearsals, the ranks were filled gradually, with each member literally learning their instruments as the songs were being written. 7 years later, Chasing Canadia now stand poised to stake their claim on a much larger scale, and rise to the top of the pop heap. 7 years is a long road for any band, but Chasing Canadia is a rare breed; equal parts friendship, desire, talent, and tenacity, the band has fought every step of the way to develop a devout regional following. Passing through early line-up changes and stylistic evolutions, the 5 members have created a unique sound that calls to mind pop-punk with equal doses of classic songwriting and arrangements, and modern day influence. The band, which consists of 5 multi-talented young men and women, chooses to equally share the songwriting load amongst each other; this has helped to foster a trusting bond amongst the members, and a sound that is very much all their own. Chasing Canadia has enlisted up and coming producer/engineer tag team Eli Larch Chastain (Producer, Solid State Records artists Trenches) and Wes Deboy (Audio Engineer, Arrah and the Ferns, Everything Now!) as well as Joe Adams (Management, New Found Glory, The Wonder Years) to man the helm for their first official release, a 6 song EP featuring songs that encompass the growth and maturity of a band coming into their own as musicians and songwriters. The EP is slated for a January release, and the band plans to tour and play shows in support of this EP tirelessly, including dates with New Found Glory, Every Avenue, 1997, The Audition, The Ready Set, The Wonder Years, The Cambiata, and many more!
