Welcome to One World (R)evolution online! Where awakening consciousness meets rock music. One World (R)evolution began in Austin, Texas in June of 2009 when singer/songwriter Astrum Lux Lucis put to rest her Artist persona Cheryl Hill. As Cheryl Hill, she self-released 6 albums. The transformation came about after Astrum had a Soul Analysis / Astro-cartology reading with spiritual alchemist and yogini Chavah Aima. After her reading, Astrum knew it was time to put her old persona Cheryl Hill to rest. She meditated to come up with her true name, Astrum Lux Lucis (Latin for "shining star", "starlight bearer/bringer", and "enlightened of the enlightened one"). She chose to call her new music project One World (R)evolution because she feels her music is her gift to help create the coming heaven on earth through the currently unfolding conscious awakening. Her music has always been about self-empowerment and seeking truth in one's life, so the new project aligns much more clearly with that gift. One World (R)evolution is releasing a "transitional" album entitled, Transitions in early 2010. In the meantime, please enjoy Astrum's music by visiting the Official Cheryl Hill Website. ABOUT THE ARTIST ASTRUM LUX LUCIS & ONE WORLD (R)EVOLUTION… …THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS CHERYL HILL Growing up in various cities all over the world, Astrum Lux Lucis (formerly Cheryl Hill), never lived in one place long enough to put down roots. This has given her a unique perspective on life, and has given her music the tension and release which one critic called “an inspiring ride, from brakes to blast off”, and “pure melodic rhythms that take hold of your body.” A brief rundown of Astrum’s musical life includes: In 1983 she began playing drums in San Francisco Bay Area punk band Private Outrage, opening for The Circle Jerks and Testament. In 1986 she formed Houston, Texas based metal band Knightmare, opening for King Diamond, The Galactic Cowboys, and Crimson Glory. The band self-released 3 EP’s and received airplay on Z-Rock’s KKZR. From 1992 to 1996 time was devoted to education at the University of Miami, studying business administration, music, and two years of classical voice training; earning a BBA, majoring in Entrepreneurship/Business Management, and minoring in Music, and Music Business & Entertainment Industries. In 1993 she became Cheryl Hill “solo artist”, signing with the student run record label 'Cane Records, releasing 2 tracks on their "Miami Hybridized" compilation in May of 1995, and interning at Island Records Miami during her final semester at UM in the fall of 1996. From 1995 to 2008, Astrum wrote, recorded, co-produced, and self-released 6 albums as solo artist Cheryl Hill. She’s performed at several major music events including several GLBT Pride Festivals, M.E.A.N.Y. Fest NYC, Veggie Pride Parade NYC, and rocked the streets of Washington, D.C. to a crowd of 300,000 people at Capital Pride Festival in 2004 where she shared the stage with Sophie B. Hawkins. Other notable performances include the Atlanta Pride Festival in 2001 where she was the number one selling artist in merchandise sales, and the South Texas RockFest in 2008 where she shared the stage with Queensryche, Dokken, Tesla, and others. The music video for her song “Let Love In” was in rotation on MTV/LOGO’s “The Click List Countdown” top 10 video show, and she’s also performed a couple of times on Fox 7’s Good Day Austin TV morning show. Her song “Get Your Green On” is a favorite on the KROX 101 X morning show with Jason & Deb, and her new music project, One World (R)evolution is filming a music video for this song this Spring. Currently, Astrum is ready to emerge on a higher level with her new music project One World (R)evolution. With the assistance of her recently formed management and marketing team, branding and redefining her new persona, Astrum prepares to release her first album followed with heavy touring to promote the release. This Artist’s time has arrived. Welcome to the consciousness (r)evolution of Astrum Lux Lucis’ One World (R)evolution!
