About Chill

Manns Choice, PA

Chill Has Been in the Rap game for a minute.....
He started out spinnin' records @ house parties back in the day and his love for Hip Hop eventually led him to the M.I.C. when he started kickin rhymes and buggin' out with his homies.Chill's long time friend Finn was in a band called Sole and invited him to hang out at rehersals and recording sessions. It was Sole that gave Chill his name and the opportunity to be heard. After Chill grabbed the Mic and started to spit at Soles practice sessions they knew they had to get this guy involved in their set. Chill joined the band
Sole and together they toured the
Baltimore/Washington area throughout the late 1990's and had a good fan base.
Chill ripped the rhymes and Sole dropped the mad funk. Sole hit the studio to record their first album Steppin, and Chill was right behind them to lay down his first studio sessions.Finn helped produced Chill's first Album: "Up Jumps The Chameleon"

Not long after Chill dropped his first CD, Sole started to fall apart and broke up. So in the early 2000's Chill bounced up north and ended up in Boston, MA. In Boston Chill met the lovely Lydia Harrell and she introduced him to the band Hyptonic. Chill fit in nicely with Hyptonic. His smooth rhymes complemented the powerful voice of Lydia. Hyptonic was a major force on the Boston music seen, bringing their acid jazz, hip hop sound to the masses. Hyptonic toured all over New England, down the East Coast and even up into Canada. Chill grew a lot in the music industry with the help of Hyptonic's diverse musical influence. Chill is featured on two CD's during his time with Hyptonic...

"Hyptonic-When it Rains"
and
"The Invisible Movie Soundtrack"

It was in Hyptonic that Chill met MC Ballz Deep. They became great friends and shared an apartment on Hooker Street. Their love for music led them to help create Hooker Studio........the rest is history. Chill has dropped two albums with Hooker Studio:

"Black and White World"
and
"Scraps Off The Table"

Chill has laid the foundation for future artists, not only with Hooker Studio, but for artists everywhere. He is truly dedicated to his music, a Hip Hop Soldier if you will, and committed to overcoming adversities. Chill continues to be a force in Hip Hop and an all around representative of true artistry. We are proud to have Chill as a part of our Hooker Studio family.
