Chris Holcombe is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with a lyrical and melodic maturity that belies his young age. He began his writing career at 13 years of age co-writing the track One Too Many In Love from his debut LP Settin' The Moon On Fire with Michael McDonald. That same year, he was featured in On The Road, a nationally published songwriting anthology that showcased lyrical excellence. Nearly ten years later, Chris just keeps getting better, placing 12th in the annual Singer-Songwriter contest at Berklee College of Music (where he is an alumnus) and making the Semi-Finals in the Disc Makers Southeast Independent World Series with his debut album Settin' The Moon On Fire, which was recorded when he was 17 years old. Recently, Chris released The Trouble With Loving Hurricanes, which combines smooth soul, moody blues, and melodic pop. Influenced by such genre defying artists as Bonnie Raitt, Chris takes a sound that is reminiscent of the past and yet, entirely his own.
