Coach Mize is comprised of two young artists (Trevor Mickens & Chase Mozingo) who started making music at the age of 14 together. Coach Mize is comprised of two young artists (Trevor Mickens & Chase Mozingo) who started making music at the age of 14 together. They met in middle school and combined their tastes of Hip Hop, Jazz, & Experimental music to create a unique sound. The two then originally called themselves "Scientists". Between the ages of 16 and 18, Trevor & Chase completed a plethora of beats/compositions that were placed on their soundclick page (www.soundclick.com/scientists), and from then on they decided they wanted to become musical artists. Chase Mozingo currently attends St. Edward's University in Austin, TX and Trevor Mickens attends Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Since they can't work together at the same time, they've created an agreement where Chase composes his amazing melodies, while Trevor lays down the drums and rhythm for their songs. In 2008, in effort to jump-start their music careers, Chase & Trevor decided to create a myspace page to promote this creative and brilliant sound they have developed together. It was then that the formerly known "Scientists" name was changed to "Coach Mize", in honor of their outlandish middle school football coach who brought this gifted team together. Coach Mize has a dream of changing & transforming today's music.
