Biography Mond.o.e, is a young black, creative, conscious, real lively male, born in the city of Inglewood, Ca on August 6, 1983. I was raised in Compton, Ca by my grandma/mother, he is the oldest out of four children; two sisters and one brother. My mother was only fifteen and still in high school when she gave birth to him and his father eighteen also was still in high school. His father was not arround for the most part of his life. Mon.d.o.e started rapping at the age of 12 and used his lyrics as a way to express things. Certain thoughts he couldn't say to others, he just put them on paper. At the age fifteen he heip start a hip hop group called The D.o.o.m Clyk, made up of three of the best MC's up coming from the West. The group consisted of himself, "Do D.a.t" of the Attik in the bay area and long time friend "Spit Fiya" out of compton and winner of the tv show "the next"; the group later split up after being together for 2 years because of creative differences. At the age of eighteen he moved to the "bay area," Oakland, where it’s said he found himself as a person and as a lyrical genius. In the year of 2004 at the age of twenty-one, he moved back to Compton and was introduced to producers Abstrakt Soundz and D Twyce who later helped create his first album, Love & Respect. In the year of 2005 at the age of twenty-two he dropped out of school to support his girlfriend and unborn son. Shortly after his son was born, he started in the studio recording what some may view as a classic, he views it as a focal point in his life. But his vision it as "his style of music which comes from his soul and speaks to his spirit. he say that "it allows me to present it to your heart, so you can feel where I'm coming from." That’s why the album is titled "Love & Respect" because through all his struggles, he manage to get and give Love and Respect. his first album, Love & Respect sold over 2,500 units and still selling on the street and online. He is currently working on his sophomore album, Love & Respect: 1st and 2nd Edition, The Hoodlum, which is a double disk. he continues to write and produce tracks. he's written music and songs for various artists in LA and producing and writing tracks with producer, THX. It is a necessity that he continue to perform and hone his craft as much as possible. he have opened up for artist such as dj quik, jeezy, fabolous,Young Buck and performed with Blu. In addition to those performances, I have performed all over Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Oakland. Also he is the Owner and Founder of the label Rule Book Productions, which is still in its developmental stages. But as Owner and Founder he want to represent “TRUE TO SELF MUSIC.” True to Self Music in a nutshell means music that engages your inner being and allows you to continue to fall in love with it daily. “he is just a guy doing what people said couldn't be done; I guess they were wrong, HA!"
