Hailing from the 80's Hair Metal days I still long to hear that grinding guitar and thumping drums behind a screaming vocal track. Hailing from the 80's Hair Metal days I still long to hear that grinding guitar and thumping drums behind a screaming vocal track. What comes around Goes around so I'll just sit back and wait until we get through this cookie cutter American Idol generation and get my Spandex out real soon, After all don't you think Hannah Montana looks an awful lot like Vince Neal from Motley Crue in the early years? We must be getting close.... Just kidding, I'm too, too old for that anymore. Nearly every day I look back at those times and give GOD thanks for keeping me alive through it all and still blessing me with all that I have now. But truthfully speaking, those are the days when and where I cut my musical teeth. I remember back in the tenth grade listening to Rush's 2112 album over and over until I could get every guitar lick down and then from nowhere Eddie Van Halen changed guitar playing forever. Now move ahead 30 years and Eddie is still around and I still can't play as good as him, but I have been blessed with much, much more. I was born on October 12, 1964 in Williamsport Pennsylvania and here I am today living at the beach (Myrtle Beach) by way of short stints in Philadelphia, Boston, and DuBois Pennsylvania. Like so many other songwriters I would love to move to Nashville. From the silly ideas behind "Superstar" to the strong emotions inside "Shine (Alden's Song)" they all represent some spark of an idea from my own observations or personal life, But No... For the record "The Fire Inside" is not a story about my own life but simply an idea about a situation I am sure way to many people have had to deal with. My newest release " In her Eyes" is the perspective from the other side of the fence and ends with a nice twist. Each of these songs is all me.. Written, Recorded, Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals.... It's all me. Daily I work on strengthening my weaknesses.. and in this case it's my singing. I have been playing music for around 30 years and never really tried to learn to sing, go figure... Now I want to write and record all of this music and I can barely sing, but I'm learning. Watch out Josh Groban .... Here I Come ! Thank You for your interest in myself and my music and check back frequently as I will be adding new songs as soon as they are finished.
