About CuteLoony

London, United Kingdom

"CuteLoony make some pretty damn great folk pop."
Brett Callwood - Acoustic Magazine

CuteLoony began in Cornwall, playing popular Folk and Blues classics mixed in with original songs at local open-mic hotspots. 5 years on we are now a full band lead by female vocals with 12 string guitar, bass, drums and trombone, based on the outskirts of London.

We have supported some huge names on the European circuit including rising star, Pete Molinari, Sian Evans from hit band KOSHEEN and Italian Superstars AMYCANBE. Last summer we made our debut at Glastonbury Festival playing alongside Jay Z and The Ting Tings.
"This lady has some incredible pipes...what a vox!
Great guitars, supreme arrangements, moody and atmospheric!!”

Having performed all over the UK and in Italy, we have played on many prestigious stages including the infamous 100 Club in Oxford St, the legendary Moles Club in Bath, Bristol’s Ashton Court Festivals and Bath Fringe Festivals.

Based on our performance at ‘La Festa Di L’Unita’ in Florence, Italy, which pulls crowds of up to 10,000 people a night, we were given preference over OASIS to record our first E.P with Italian Producer Alessandro Massa at his studios in Rome.

We are a very popular act at Cabaret events too - the Bristol Poetry Scene loves us and we receive continual praise from UK promoters ‘Big Mouth Cabaret’ and ‘Emporium’.

We are planning a U.S tour in the summer of 2009 having had considerable interest from online fans, and airplay from radio stations there. We feature regularly in play-lists on, Homegrown Radio New Jersey and WCRX Radio in Chicago.

“I can't tell you how much I love this band. They headlined at my Admiration 3 event and it was, quite simply, a wonderful musical moment.”
Pat Reid – BBC
