He begin writing and then started recording with his older brother Teco Ward(Money). His brother notice the young talent and potential & put him down on an Independent Label, Krooked Label. Chaz later on called himself Shorty C, because of his small size. As Shorty C became more influenced in the game his wanted to start his own group called the Lil Boyz (Six young boyz tryna grind in the game) Featuring ya boy Lil Stunt from Block to Block Ent. (local independent label).Shorty C matured as an artist when he was featured on Krooked Label songs. He later on began writing 24/7 even during class at school. Later,He decided he should go solo, Lil Boyz fell apart. As Shorty C became older he and his brother thought it was time for a change. Him and his brother dropped from Krooked Label and started the NEW independent label B.I.E. Chaz changed the name from Shorty C to C. Ward (name givin to by a friend). C. Ward is a new artist. Growning up with Lil Stunt from Block to Block Ent (from Murfreesboro TN) they started a new group called Triple Threat, added J-Roc aka Skool Boy Hustler (local artist). At the age of 15, C. Ward and Triple Threat began working on the self-titled album, but problems began as all artists wanted to be solo. The album did not finish and Triple Threat were no more. Once the group separated C. Ward's brother decided that his younger brother is now ready for a solo project. C. Ward started to write for his 1st solo album but ran into a new friend Rydell Mayes aka Headline (new up and coming local artist). They both had the same goals so they started 2 form a new group which was called Da LinX ( C. Ward, Headline, Mike Brooks aka Lil' Mike and Tim Slater aka Young Blaq. later added DeAndre Miller aka Bleak). They worked over the summer of 2006 and came out with a underground mixtape "The Wait Iz Over". The mixtape was featured by the group also collaborated with Gaston Miller aka G-Milla and Lil Yella. A year came by and the group renamed themself the Show Boyz but C. Ward heart belonged with the LinX so he decided to get back to his solo project. As C. Ward realize that he is a solo artist he later on calls himself the renegade, meaning an outlaw. As he begins to work on his 1st album he is now influenced by Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Cashville's All-Star, and local Murfreesboro artist: Block Boyz, Young Teezy, and V-Fuk. The album should be finished by August of 2007. Features are the Show Boyz, T-Milla, Juggarnaunts, J-Roc,and Young Blaq. The album is produced my Money and a song by a young hot local producer Lil Yella. The Renegade reflects on C. Ward up and comings as an artist, hoping to get a buzz in "The Boro" and A&R's trying to get a deal. 10 years experience rapping, he believes it is now a time for a movement. The Renegade album never did drop and now he is working on a new album "Homefield Advantage". He names the album as he is taking it back to his roots, Jackson TN. Quote "If you have Home field advantage...you cant lose"; with that mentality C. Ward expects this album to be a hit and hopefully helps his chance getting a record deal. With the smash single "You Know" and "Get Money" featuring Mike B. "Homefield Advantage" is looking forward to becoming one of the classics that ever hit Murfreesboro.
