I am a musician. It's the coolest job in the world. I love to touch people with my voice or my words. Music is my entire life and I love Sonicbids because I can share my voice with the world and communicate with every listener. I have two toy poodles! One is five pounds and the other is seven…the seven pound dog is overweight. They’re brothers from the same litter, and they have the complete opposite personality! I play music on a regular basis in Southern Ontario. I had long hair my entire life. I chopped it all off over a year ago! I know what it feels like to be heartbroken. I have big dreams and I love when they come true. I met Keith Urban. It was the best moment of my life. Ever. I love my mom and dad. They’re super cool. I love my sister too. She’s kind of a dork though. (Just kidding Leah. :) ) Oh yeah, my dogs names are Luke and Mason! I absolutely LOVE cheese. Man, I love cheese. I have a car that I share with my dad. We named her Rosie. Cause she’s old. And red. My cousin Sam fixed her all up and made her drive-able! I really love talking, and telling stories. I get really excited about small things! Summertime is my favourite time of year. Winter's cold, Spring is wet and Fall means winter is coming. (Of course) I hardly ever watch TV but I buy seasons on DVD and watch them all at once. I have a recording of me when I am about four years old singing “Sweet Dreams of You” by Patsy Cline. I also have a recording when I was about 7 singing “Broken Wing” by Martina Mcbride. My dad was in a band called Hourglass. They are amazing. I think that Rocky Howell is one of the best singers I have ever heard. He’s cool. You should look him up. He sang in Major Hooples Boarding House! My cousin Mike Todd is such a talented singer. I go and see him sing as much as I can! The second best day of my life was the day I finished high school. The first best was obviously meeting Keith Urban. I am working on recording my first full length CD! My grandpa was a fiddle player. My great uncle played the accordion. My great grandma was a singer as well. My uncle is a singer too. He was in the band Hourglass with my dad. I would really like to stop biting my nails. Once I was in a country band. There were three girls in one band singing three part harmony. I really like chips and dip. It has to be a certain dip though and they only sell it at short stop. I drive across town to get it when I want chips and dip. My sister is really smart. She loves school and works really hard at it. She’s going to be rich one day! My family is huge. I get to see the Todd side all at once on Boxing Day every year. It’s the most exciting part of my year! We know how to party. Janice is usually the one who records me and who edits my videos. Thanks Janice. When I’m driving I listen to music really loud and I car dance. They’re probably the best car dance moves you would ever see! I have a facebook fan group too…and twitter and myspace and on and on. Look me up! I am a hopeless romantic. I totally believe in love. One time I went to New York. It was crazy! I made a friend at a music store. His name is Cal. I used to work at a music store called “Woodshed Music”. Ben and Gary rock. I always worked with them. Thanks for taking the time to read all this! You've made it through a long random list of my life. If you want my professional bio, please feel free to read on! Danielle Todd took an interest in music at an early age. Growing up in a musical family, she was constantly surrounded by recording, writing, and singing. Her father, Jamie Todd, continued to encourage her and bought Danielle her first guitar on her 13th birthday. With a few helpful tips from her father, Danielle learned how to play mostly on her own. Within a year, she was performing with Jamie in Guelph and the Niagara Region. By luck, Danielle met local musician Ambre McLean in 2004. She began taking vocal lessons from Ambre who encouraged Danielle to learn piano and write her own music. Later that year, Danielle had mastered her playing skills and writing abilities. She began playing local shows with Ambre and then branched out on her own to play solo acts. In 2006, Danielle participated in the Songbird Café at the River Run Centre alongside Keith Thompson, Laura Bird, David Gillis and others. She then became part of the Ambre McLean Band as the back-up vocalist, singing with the band for the “I Wonder If…” CD release tour. In 2007, Danielle focused on her own writing abilities. She successfully completed a four song CD with all of the songs written, composed and performed by Danielle herself. Later that year, Danielle started another project with Ambre McLean and Anna Rogers - the “Sisters of Fate”. In this group, the three girls competed at the Havelock Jamboree competition winning a spot to play at the Marmora Festival. Danielle and the Sisters shared the stage with acts such as South Mountain featuring Steve Piticco, Dallas and Joanne Post. In late 2008, Danielle had the pleasure of meeting Kenny MacLean (Platinum Blonde’s bass player). Kenny was blown away by Danielle's voice and performance and was eager to work with her and help her with her career. Sadly, Kenny passed away just a month after they met. Danielle had the honour of performing the song "Angels" at Kenny MacLean’s Tribute Show in Toronto at The Mod Club. She was lucky enough to share the stage with Platinum Blonde, The High Rollers, Glass Tiger, Gowan and many more amazing acts. Danielle performed at the Relay for Life Fundraiser in Fergus, Ontario. Kevin Kelly from 106.1 Magic FM was so knocked out by her performance that, when Serena Ryder had to cancel her booking with the radio station, he invited Danielle to take her place as the feature performer for their Music for Christmas radio broadcast. It aired just prior to Christmas 2008. This radio program proved to be excellent promotion for the show that Danielle coordinated for Manhattan’s Jazz Club. Her performance was sold out! In early May 2009, Danielle participated in the Big Break 3 radio contest sponsored by 104.7 Heart FM in Woodstock, Ontario where she won a $500 cash prize plus a professional recording of two of her original songs. The songs are included on a CD that is to be released by 104.7 to their affiliate stations across Canada. During 2009 and early 2010 Danielle began building her YouTube channel. With over 30000 video hits, 10000 channel views, and over 1900 friends and subscribers Danielle has a dedicated fan group following her every move. While collecting fans Danielle decided to go to Metalworks Studios in Mississauga to record a new five song EP. While in the studio Paul Gross - producer of Triumph, Saga and Rush - took an interest in Danielle and turned to her youtube channel to find out more about her style. After hearing her original song "I Tried" Paul knew it was a hit. He offered to fully produce and record the song after six years of retirement. He brought Mark Kelso, Bernie LaBarge, Brent Backman and Russ Boswell in to play on the track. Danielle performed all her own vocals as well as the acoustic guitar. As soon as the song was finished Danielle contacted both Kevin Kelly from 106.1 in Guelph and Dan Henry from 104.7 in Woodstock. Both radio stations were glad to have Danielle in for an interview and both spun her new song. Danielle was then approached by Gary Furniss, President of Sony Publishing of Canada. She sent “I Tried” to Gary Furniss, who passed the song along to David Quilico, Vice President of Sony publishing of Canada. Both were interested in her talent and encouraged Danielle to contact them with any new music she writes. Danielle is currently finishing up her CD and is planning on having a release party in the near future. Crowds love Danielle’s enthusiastic performances. They are amazed by the beauty of her voice and the intricacies of her music. For booking info please contact danielletoddmusic@live.com
