I am the continuation of her dream.’’ Hailing from Washington D.C, David E Beats was raised to the chant of a medly of Soul pioneers, respectively: The Moments, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin; and the grunge-rock sound of bands such as Sound Garden and Nirvana. Before the age of 15, David E Beats had never listened to Rap music. He started to develop an interest in Hip Hop when he bought his first Rap CD, ''The Blueprint", by Jay Z. Soon, he developed a knack for putting words together and started to rap, getting on the scene by battling other rappers. ''My rhymes were getting better and better over time’’, Says David E Beats, "I was willing to take my music to the next level. I didn't like the beats that were offered to me, so I decided to make my own.’’ Therefore; at the age of 17, David E Beats turned to production. He started to gravitate towards the keyboard. One of his beats ''So Paranoid'' on soundclick.com reached the #2 on all the charts with approximately 50 000 hits. That year he made $10.000 off selling beats. Most of David E Beats music is sample-driven but he also has original compositions in his hefty catalogue. He considers “Swizz Beats, Mad Lib, Fefe Dobson, and The Decemberists’’as his main influences. David E Beats spends countless hours in the studio, perfecting his craft and his signature sound. “Making Music is more than a hobby, it’s a passion. It means so much to me because at some point I literally didn’t have anything else to turn to. Being creative and make music is what I love.'' Olivia Dikambi, David E Beats publicist confesses: “David possesses all the necessary tools to conquer the music industry. he was born to do music. He is a gifted individual and his music must be experienced. He’s driven, passionate and industry-ready, I have absolutely no doubt on his future success.’’ After I missing the opportunity to produce for Interscope recording artist Wale before he blew up in early 2008, David E Beats realized it was time to step his game up. Torn between the production world and the stage, David E Beats decided he would do both. Thus, In May 2009, David E Beats released his first mix-tape project, “David E Beats Blvd,” which waved very positive reviews with features on major sites including AllHipHop, OnSmash, and Global Grind; just to name a few. When it comes to the title of the mix-tape, David E Beats explains: ''Boulevard by definition is a broad city street; often landscaped. Back when I lived in DC, I would come up with acoustic songs, up-tempo beats and Rock influences would often turn up in my productions. I felt like I was welcoming artists' onto my musical boulevard. "I really took my time to perfect 'David E Beats Blvd' to the best of my ability. It appeals to different kind of people and backgrounds,I'm really proud ! My music is universal.'' So far, David E Beats released 3 singles off his mix-tape. The first single Walk In" (featuring RNB) was rated in the top 50 out of a million songs on soundclick.com. The song even received radio plays on 89.9 FM in North Carolina. ''Ain't What It Seems'', the second single, is a David Bowie sampled banger with hard-hitting drums and true-to-life lyrics. ''Her Features' (featuring Nate) is an ode to women, it’s a very up-tempo, 1920s-swing style instrumental with a complimentary flow. David E Beats received national attention when the song ''Doin' My Job'' that he produced for a DMV artist made the cut to URB MAG's Next 1000 contest. "It's a real blessing when your music is appreciated by music professionals and respected media outlets. This achievement will be the beginning of a long series!" In June 8th, 2009, David E Beats launched his "Open Mic-Showcase Tour". It consists of live performances all around New York. "I love being on stage", David E beats shares, "it’s a really good feeling when you get to perform live for your fans. It is a great experience!"
