DAVID PATRICK BRYAN -- International Christian Music Ministry VOCALIST|COMPOSER|KEYBOARDS Soon after David Patrick Bryan learned to walk and talk he discovered that could also sing and dance. By the age of 5 he was performing on stage. Over the next few years he learned to play the piano and at 10, composed and arranged his first song! David took piano and voice lessons from a wonderful friend and mentor, Katherine “Kitty” Hanrahan. His love for spiritual songs originated from his singing and playing the old Gospel songs at home with his mother, Mary Helen Bryan, and grandmother, Sally Long. David would frequent his mother's choir practices as well. He spent his teen years playing with bands at local night clubs and during his call to duty in the Army; he performed with his dear friend and great Country recording artist, John Conlee. Eventually David branched out to playing concerts in Southern Florida with the Savage Boogie Band. During that time, "Savage" was invited to be the opening acts for Chuck Berry and other well-known musical groups of that era. All during his mid to late twenties he managed and performed within a 9 member show band, touring consistently throughout the US and Canada. And as time marched on, David found himself working in Las Vegas playing for a well know Vegas show band, the "Freddie Bell Show" and in Los Angeles with another life long friend, Krigger and other members of the Ike and Tina Turner's Band. David is married to Laurie and has 3 children. They are, Jason, Corey, and Melody. For David and Laurie, a musician's life on the road was not conducive to raising their children and so the decision was made to pursue his musical career within a more local area around Frankfort and Lexington, Kentucky. It was while performing here, that David wrote, recorded and produced his first solo recording, "Kentucky Days". Over the next few years, he did a number of recordings in Nashville and continued live performance, both local and regional. In 1991, David was blessed by a dramatic life-changing event. He decided it was time to show his appreciation to God for all the many blessings he consistently received and completely dedicated his music to the Lord. With the formation of Bryan Productions came his first Christian album, "You Are My Friends" which received a Dove Award Nomination in 1998. He was a guest on several globally aired musical TV shows. He was the founder and host of Kentucky's "Sacred Sounds", a weekly Christian radio program and has appeared on numerous radio as well as TV station throughout the US and abroad. His joyful personality and presence shine through in all guest appearances. David has toured in Ireland and has performed, in concert, at the famed Astra Theatre in Schio, Italy, which was broadcast over Italian, German, and other European TV stations. He also appeared in concert in Sarajevo. While there, he and his son, Jason, produced a film, which was shown on Bosnia television, "David Patrick Bryan in Bosnia". And in 2002 this inspiring video garnered the prestigious "International Video of the Year" Award from the UCMVA. Other honors bestowed upon him have been nominations for the 1999 Album of the Year for "You Are My Friends" and in 2001 a nomination for best Country Song of the Year for his rendition of "In the Name of the Father", written by Jim Cosgrove. He has also been nominated as "Artist of the Year". In 2002 He received the award for the "Country Album of the Year" for his multi-styled album, "One With You", produced by award winning producer and close friend, Ron Zabrocki, and was also was in the final nominations for the "Rock Album of the Year". In 2004, David released his 3rd album of original songs; "The Shroud of Jesus" produced by Ron Zabrocki and during the summer of 2009, he has recorded his newest album, “Hope”, also produced by Zabrocki. David Pat (as his family calls him) is embarking in full time ministry to promote the new recording "Hope". He is Christian music's answer to Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers, Ray Charles, and Tom Jones but enjoys a variety of musical styles on all his CD's. This includes a bit of pop, rock, reggae and Latin, an eclectic mix of style and sound pulled together by Zabrocki tremendous technical skill and David's utterly charming and lush tenor/baritone voice, or “tenortone”, as he jokingly refers to his two and a half octave range. David Patrick Bryan's music is the product of his love for God, for all people, and for all denominations. David's own personal relationship with God and his spiritual experiences are reflected throughout his insightful songs. His diversity of music coupled with the very clear singular message that "God exists and loves us all unconditionally", offers the listener an opportunity to come into a higher place of worship and to love the Lord as David does. The listener will find this an easy thing to do, thanks to David's kind and gentle spirit that is reflected throughout his ministry, his life and his music. "I feel very fortunate that God has allowed me to be a performer, a traveler, and a songwriter. For the past five decades, I have had the pleasure of singing, playing, and writing many different styles of music. I really enjoy writing about all facets of love, but the most joy I find is in writing about God's Love for us all. My goal is simply this: "Through the wonderful world of music, I want to help all people, to know and to share God's Divine Love ". I pray that I may accomplish this as a songwriter, a performing artist, and more importantly, as a Christian." - David Patrick Bryan
