With a suave, laid back charm and animated personality to match; you can’t help but take notice of new R&B artist known as Daylan Tomas. Daylan was born in Riverside, California but raised on the road with his father who was a minister. Like many R&B artist, Daylan got his start in the church. At age 7 Daylan sung along side his two sisters wherever his father preached. By age 14, Daylan had sung and shared stage with gospel greats such as Gary Oliver, Myrna Summers, and Daryl Coley. But Daylan felt a purpose beyond gospel music. Entering his teenage years Daylan began writing and performing songs in school and local talent shows. In high school you could always find Daylan in a huddle of his young female peers dancing and singing. “I love to sing and perform in front of an audience. It’s my high,” laughs Daylan. With the influences of Stevie Wonder, Avant, Ginuwine, Usher, and Jagged Edge; Daylan has created a voice that wows and in captivates all who dane to listen. Daylan’s music mostly talks about the building blocks and foundations of love and it’s hardships. Daylan is not six feet with muscles but makes up for it with his charm, and sultry voice.
