From the time cousins Chuck-e, 14 and Young D, 13 could talk, they were performing. What started as family entertainment soon grew into a passion bigger than the boys themselves. From the time cousins Chuck-e, 14 and Young D, 13 could talk, they were performing. What started as family entertainment soon grew into a passion bigger than the boys themselves. Hip-Hop is how the boys define themselves. In 2003, Chuck-e and Young D took their act to the public. And The Raskullz was founded. The Raskullz began their journey to stardom by first performing at their own stomping grounds---school talent shows. After getting a taste of the big stage, the cousins knew this was their future. Chuck-e and Young D were invited to perform as part of the Hip-Hop Act of the St. Louis Gateway Classic “Y” Circus. The Raskullz were then chosen as the Opening Act for Murphy Lee of the St. Lunatics and showed their skills at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Basketball Shootout. Next on the agenda to fame, The Raskullz brought the crowd to their feet with their Hip-Hop act at the 1st Annual Larry Hughes Family Foundation Fashion Show. Making their way into the big leagues, Chuck-e and Young D took the main stage as the headlining act for the Easter Performance of the Rhema Church Community Event in 2007. Most recently, The Raskullz performed at the “College Spring Blast 2009” at the Trap House and they were featured artist at the FU Bar “Showcase Exposure Easter Sunday”. Not only are Chuck-e and Young D performing for audiences all around the Lou, but they are claiming their prizes along the way. In 2007, The Raskullz took home the 1st place spot in “Showcase of the Stars”. This year alone, Chuck-e and Young D have won 1st place at the “Youth City Council---City vs. County Talent Show” held at Forest Park; 2nd place in “J Howes Homegrown Finals” held at T-Billy’s; and 3rd Place in “The Exposure Series at the Loft”; they were the youngest act to perform. In their downtime, The Raskullz participates in church and local events always bringing their inner star out to shine. Young D was cast as a Lollipop Kid and Munchkin in the Maryland Heights Theater Production of “The Wizard of Oz” and was chosen for the NCAA Men’s Final Four Hoop City Kid in St. Louis. Chuck-e and Young D also work together on the composition of their own lyrics and beats.
