Deonte first became interested in making music when he was introduced to Mr. Pookie’s “Tha Rippla” Album. Since then, he vowed to charge the music industry, full steam ahead! Deonte is known for his savy hooks and his vivid songwriting abilities. Some of his musical influences are Mr. Pookie, Mr. Lucci, Twista, Tupac, Jay-Z, Eminem, R.Kelly, Babyface, Smokie Robinson, Marvin Gay, Ray Charles, and Sam Cook. The great thing about Deonte is that he is truly UNIQUE! He has a sultry voice and lyrical thug style, unlike anyone else. He is currently signed to Pimp n Keys Entertainment, and has collaborated with just about every major artist in Dallas,Texas, including "Crooks 4 Life"-Mr. Pookie & Mr. Lucci, Doughski G, T-Cash, Fat Bastard, Tum Tum, and Lil Will-Mr."My Dougie" himself...just to name a few. Many have said he is a studio machine, and a non-stop writer. Completed projects include Stoney Crook Presents “It’s All Us: Vol 1”, “Uphoria” (Part One), “Grown Man Shit”, and “Uphoria II”(Part Two). His collaboration with Da Hitman, titled “Grown Man Shit”, received a recent article in the DFW Quick, and the “Uphoria 2” Mixtape was recently featured on datpiff.com, the authority in today’s mixtapes. Deonte has been featured in several spreads in Block 2 Block and Ozone Magazine, the Dallas Morning News Newspaper, as well as on Eminem’s XM Satellite Radio Channel, Shade 45, “Hate It or Love It” Segment. Deonte recently debuted the video for his hit single featuring the infamous Mr.Pookie, called "Picture Us" off the “Uphoria II” Album. Currently, he is working on an EP with rapping great, Mr.Lucci, & is collaborating with rapper, Tum Tum, on his “Purp Kobain” Album. Although he maintains a busy schedule, Deonte assures his fans that his third mixtape, “Uphoria 3”, is well on it’s way!
