Guess what the music industry is missing....? DeVon Derricotti a.k.a. "The Unsigned Artist" DeVon has shared the stage with National Recording Acts such as Lyfe Jennings, Cheri Dennis, Do or Die, Raheem Devaughn, Carl Carlton, Johnny P., Men-At-Large, The Rude Boys, and a host of other talents. The Legendary Ms. Patti LaBelle shockingly admitted DeVon was responsible for "sending chills up her spine" at her tribute party held at Brave New World in Philadelphia in 2002. That same year he was the 1st place winner of the Cleveland Coca-Cola Talent Showcase Competition, taking home the $1,000 grand prize. DeVon’s single, "Let Me Love You" was placed in heavy radio rotation on Power 92.3 WZPW in Peoria, Illinois back in 2001. DeVon was also featured on Channel 19, WHOI-TV and he performed live on Channel 31, WMBD-TV’s morning show that year. The best way to describe DeVon’s voice is "Timeless, smooth and relaxing, yet, powerful and thought-provoking" he quotes. He has so much vocal versatility; some of his recordings have been mistakenly thought to be Jaheim, Jamie Foxx, Dave Hollister, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, R. Kelly, and many others- based on the song selection. DeVon made it known to all that he was one of Cleveland’s elite performers when he placed as a finalist in the Tom Joyner Sky Show Competition during mid-2007. In addition, he gave back to the community with a performance at Hope High, in return, receiving an award of excellence. DeVon also won "Singer of the Month" at the Brown Sugar Cafe a.k.a. The Factory in December 2007. In 2008, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., DeVon performed an inspirational song at the nationally renowned "Karamu Theatre". DeVon is definitely a gifted individual who will not be continually overlooked. He is on track of becoming a household name and will set a standard for others to follow. Keep your eyes on this talent; he’s slowly but surely moving up the ladder of success, undeniably.
