Doug LeDay musically known as D.Fresh was born on September 28, 1985. He grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago...in a place known as Calumet City. D.Fresh’s love for Hip Hop started at a young age as he would always recite raps of his favorite rapper’s to his neighborhood friends. In addition, D.Fresh had a knack for free-styling which he did avidly every time he heard a beat....surprisingly everything he spat his words made perfect sense. While growing up many of D.Fresh's close f peers begin to realize that he had the gift of gab, so whenever D.Fresh spoke people listened. His love for Hip Hop grew even further into his late high school and early college years as he began writing and recording his own music. He first started making music with Rude Boy Ent but was later introduced to MiL-E Ent by a close friend and later signed on to MiL-E Ent as a recording artist. D.Fresh’s style of rapping illustrates diversity, which is a reflection of his love for other genres of music. D.Fresh is very hardworking and his dedication alongside his desire to improve are two of his best quality as an up and coming Rap & Hip-Hop artist. He is constantly in the studio grinding! In fact, most of his label mates and producer would say that he is a sheer perfectionist ....always writing and striving for excellence with his craft. Unlike most, D.Fresh has a remarkable ability to flow using unique rhyme schemes and yet still stay on topic in his verses. This trait is very distinctive and quite admirable. As far as overall talent goes D.Fresh has captivating hooks, creative metaphors and punchlines, unique story telling abilities, vast content and vocabulary. He shows these skills on freshman and sophomore mixtapes titled A Breath Of Fresh Air released back in 2009 and A Fresh Start released back in 2010. Here his lyrical substance symbolizes the multiple gateways of his reality. He raps about as early childhood experiences, being in the streets at one point in his life, being a full time college student and graduate, past relationships, life ect... Following up as his third and most recent mixtape is (D.O.F) The Definition Of Fresh released also in 2010. This project exploits his consistency, progress and maturity as a solid Rap & Hip-Hop artist. D.Fresh's musical influence includes the Notorious B.I.G., 2pac, Jay-Z, Nas, and others like Fabolous and Kanye West just to name a few. His goal is to continue to bring put Chicago on da map, make positive, real and influential music that will one day be felt by the masses all over the world. D.Fresh is currently working on his fourth mixtape Fresh Til' Death. So fans stay tuned in for he is going to be legendary!
