In 2008, Centennial High classmates Keenan P (C-tik), Mebaa B (Catch Phrase), and Patrick S (Nik Nak), discovered a shared passion for music and formed The Factory. With an avid ear for the intricacies of good hip-hop, the group focused on developing an original sound that is both versatile and dynamic as well as able to translate into commercial success. The Project switched gears and took off when annoying roommate/sick producer and vocalist Max Ernst of Trustfall jumped aboard to add a professional touch as well as a refined ear for quality music. The name of the group was changed to Digital Currencies in 2009 to symbolize making moves towards the Future, and getting paid while doing it. The goal of the group is to never make 2 songs that sound alike. "Bump This" Crack Remix and video coming soon. DC, as many of their fans call them for short, has been featured on Theirmusic and SWURV Radio, and their track "Bump This" was track of the day in March 2009. Their song Underground promo has been picked up by Underground Clothing Company as the official theme song. Jump on the bandwagon, bringing the buzz to Maryland.
