A STORY OF A TURNTABELIST DJ DBEFEKT is a turntablist with over 12 years of DJ experience and a long list of titles. He is one of the most accomplished, versatile, and technically-skilled DJs. 1st as a breakdancer , then graffiti street artist, DB came to djing very naturally. The poor suburbs where he grew up and his multicultural background influenced him as an artist and a person. The list of projects DB's involved in is impressive. Often collaborating with different styles artists, coming from jazz, trip hop, house, electro & of course hip hop, DB is joining all those experiencees into his solo productions. Seeing him perform live is the best way to realise how far technic, production gear & classic turntabelist skills can go to develloppe a new show dimention. THE ARTIST, THE PRODUCER... At the end of the 20th century , DB realised that the music scene he was working on since ever was changing. Hip Hop was dying, leaving the spot for a bunch of fake productions with artists that had their marketing as only talent. The deception of this meloman made him react and start his own production. Diggin in the crates and searching the rare samples has become an obsession. Inspire by funk, jazz, 90s hip hop but also electro sounds, DB's taking you to a journey different from any other experience you've ever heard. Currently DB's switching between ''tour periods'' and ''studio sessions'', producing instrumentals for major names in the industry under the cover of his avant-garde label : Deer Studio Records. Deer Studio Records is growing and it also includes video clip production, marketing and personal artist care. Among productions for other artist, DB's working on solo albums with the creme of contemporary industry artists as featuring. DB creations blur the line of all musical genres.
