1st and foremost I’m Doc 00 Johnson, A.K.A Double 0 or “The voice of the ghetto”. I’m a down to earth rapper with a passion for music and my culture. I was born and razed in Harlem NYC by my mother who struggled with three son and one daughter, me being the youngest boy 90% of what I had was past down from my brothers. I started rapping at the age of eleven as a way to channel my thoughts of the life I was given. I learned at a young age some of life’s toughest lessons witnessing my oldest brother sell crack at the age of sixteen and getting his first conviction. Followed by robberies, turf wars and police brutality. By fifteen I understood the system was not designed to uplift a community that was falling at a rapid pace. At nineteen, I was caught with the possession of a fire arm during an illegal search in what the cops called a drug trafficking area…….that incident help me become the man I am today. I tell you this to give you a piece of my history & help to understand why I would call myself the voice of the ghetto, I use my voice to talk to brothers & sisters growing up just like me that cant seem to find that outlet to channel there energy. I don’t do dance music and refuse to waste my talent on nonsense rap so if your looking for the next big crank dat song I’m not the artist for you! No offence. The double 0 in my name is a symbol of where I come from, you’ll never make it far in life if you forget your roots. My motto is Stand 4 something or fall 4 anything, I believe so deeply in it I tattooed it on my body. I know how it feels to watch a close friend or love one die to senseless violence, or be so sick of a situation you feel may never change. You may not be concerned with what I am saying, I cant knock you for that……however when life deals you that hand that’s hard to bare, look yourself in the mirror and realize your part of the problem I’m speaking of. Then come holla at ya boy when you can comprehend why I would call myself “The voice of the ghetto” Peace Doc 00 Johnson
