Donna Graham

I am an open person with a big heart and I love and believe in the power of music. I was born in the North Western corner of Arkansas and raised in Texas on Galveston Bay. I started writing and singing when I was about ten years old. My families home was near a dock for shrimpers and fishermen... they would bring in the catch of the day, tie off the boat and have a few beers at the bar next door. My love of music comes from listening to the classics that played on the old juke box day after day. There was always music in the background and it got into my soul. When I was twelve I remember sitting on the pier swinging my legs to the beat and singing along with Otis Redding to the tune of "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay"... and the dream began. It took me many years but I finally made the move to Nashville last December and have been blessed with new friends that now feel more like family. I am here to write but I love photography, poetry, art of all kinds and more music:-) I hope the new year will bring new friends and new writing experiences that help to stretch me so that I can grow as a songwriter... Nashville is definitely the right place for me!
