In the last couple of years, our world seems to have been riddled with change, amongst a great many other things. Our nation has seen a new administration in the government, bands have broken up and become reborn, and musicians and celebrities that we seem to have grown up with have passed on. For the members of Dorsia, this change has been all too present and apparent. Singer/guitarist Nick Santa Maria and guitarist Matt Dietrich have been working for the last three years on music that they knew was going somewhere, and meant something more than just another alt rock band from Plano, TX. After the inception of Slow Motion Panic, featuring Dietrich on drums at the time and Dorsia bassist Cameron Donaldson's debut with the boys, they knew that the right path was near, but something still lacked. After taking some time apart to regroup and grow as musicians, writers, and people, the three reconvened in the Fall of 2009 to begin writing music again, this time with Santa Maria's younger brother, Adam, being the driving force behind the drum kit. Something immediately clicked, and that path that had seemed to allude the elder Santa Maria and Dietrich for years, back to the days of their previous project Arrows of Apollo, had finally become clear. With their first single, When You Walk In, complete, as well as four more other songs, and their debut EP soon to be released, Dorsia is finally ready to head down their path, and be realized by the world.
