D Phi Entertainment was founded in 2004 by Isidore "Rusty" London and Demetre "Metri" Jackson. It was created because no label wanted to take a chance on Metri. So the two decided to take their own chances there for creating D Phi Entertainment. As the company began to grow the two brought in a close friend to help with production and even be an artist, Mr. Jonathon "Jao" Broden. After a few short months of being established as a company CEO/Rapper Metri had to leave away for military service. But instead of the company slowing down they began to grow even more adding artist such as T.O., Destinee, Mz. Jaeda, Lil Yana, Alizae, SJL, and Rich A.K.A. Hennessy. Metri became part of a supergroup known as Thug Kingz, featuring Ca$ino & Columbus. The group was a european hit opening up for artists like Lil Scrappy, 112 and many more. Being part of the group helped Metri learn the dirty world of the music business. After serving his military tour, Metri returned back to the states without missing a beat with Rusty. The two set out to gain the same sucess that Metri had in Europe plus more. In nine short months of Metri's return, the company has grown to become a force to be reckowned with in the music industry.
