When Alex first entered the band scene, he was a bassist in a local band called Another Side Effect with lead guitarist Devin Tovar. After many lineup changes, the band eventually incorporated Alex on rhythm guitar and vocals and Pito on bass. When Alex first entered the band scene, he was a bassist in a local band called Another Side Effect with lead guitarist Devin Tovar. After many lineup changes, the band eventually incorporated Alex on rhythm guitar and vocals and Pito on bass. When the band became defunct, Alex, Devin, and Pito drifted from local band to local band until they moved into another short lived rock band. It was there that they met their future drummer, Greyson. After a largely difficult effort to find a lead guitarist, a reunion with Devin completed the lineup. As of 3/30/11 , Devin is no longer with Drifter and the guys welcomed former Ballistik frontman, Hunter Howel as lead guitarist and backing vocalist. After an awesome show at the GHS BOTB the guys continue to write originals and began gigging starting at Georgetown's 3rd Squirrel Records. They recently signed on with DREI Productions Artist Management/PBJ Records and are in the process of recording with producer Derek Snodgrass.
