About Ed Eddiebear Elam
Edward Elam or Eddiebear is originally from Chicago, Illinois. It was in the windy city that Ed formed musical friendships with some of the hitmakers on the Chicago Scene. He began composing music as a teenager and completed his studies at the University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and finished his musical education at the American Conservatory of Music, downtown Chicago. He has created works for several artists and musicians both vocal and instrumental. Composing music, working in his chosen career and playing in his band on the weekends kept him busy for many years. In 2000, as a collaborator on the "THIS WOMAN'S HEART" CD, the vocalist on the CD was selected to come to Tokyo, Japan to release the album. In 2005, with the exception of 3 songs, the CD "THE RECONCILIATION" was nominated by the KORA AWARDS organization. His artist was invited to come to Durban, South Africa to compete in the Award for "Best Afro American Diaspora". Ed's music was up against Will Smith, Mariah Carey, 50 Cents and a Canadian, Olivier. By this time Ed had established himself as a hitmaker as well as he carefully groomed artists on delivery and presence.
Ed is multi-talented. He plays flute, sax, keyboards, harmonica and guitar. His CD "Looking" showcased his inclusive talents as it was entirely composed by him. The Looking CD has enjoyed local, national and international acclaim.
Composing music for movies, videos and other artists, he brings a distinctive rhythmic infectious beat and unforgettable melodies.
