Biography

They tell me that the night I was born my mom took the next train out of town. My father, it seems, was not too pleased and he chased after her. As he climbed over the outside of the moving cars he fell through and was run over by the train. Mom was never heard from again. To be honest I don't remember, so I don't know what happened. They tell me that the night I was born my mom took the next train out of town. My father, it seems, was not too pleased and he chased after her. As he climbed over the outside of the moving cars he fell through and was run over by the train. Mom was never heard from again. To be honest I don't remember, so I don't know what happened. I heard this story from Tall Willie, he's the guy that raised me. Apparently he had stopped for for a quick drink at the Irish Wolf Pub when a man ran in with a baby yelling that he had to hurry to catch the mother that had left on a train. He handed Tall Willy the baby promising to return in just a few hours and ran out. It was the next day when Tall Willie saw in the papers what had happened on the train and what he would have to do. Tall Willy did his best to raise me right but I was always getting into trouble so he would call me Eddie Outlaw to be funny and it just kind of stuck. Nobody knows my real name anyway except maybe my mom if she is still out there somewhere. Tall Willy gave me my first guitar and I quickly learned I could get drunk for free and make a few dollars playing at the local saloons. I would travel from town to town playing my songs and getting a little too drunk, and causing a little too much trouble until the law would close in, then I would move to the next town. If the law was real heavy I could always go back to Tall Willy. One day, while I was visiting with Tall Willy, I went to town to play a few songs and that is when I met her. The most beautiful and deadly woman ever known, dressed from head to toe in black. Her hair was long, curly, and black as coal. Her face was like a ghost, and her eyes were like Medusa's gaze. She said her name was Pearl, and that her and her friends were in need of a place to stay. Her friends were the strangest kind. A small clan of the most unusual looking people I have ever seen. Nevertheless, I could not refuse, I invited them to stay in Tall Willys barn for the night and they agreed. As they rode off I noticed the side of their Carriage read "Black Pearl". After I had left them at the barn I went to my place to retire for the night. I noticed a very strange odor that I could not place. A sweet scent I will not all too soon forget, for, in a few seconds, it overtook me and I fell fast asleep. I awoke to the town sheriff kicking me in the ribs, yelling at me that I was under arrest for the murder of Tall Willy. The evidence was clear as I was covered in blood and holding Tall Willy's own knife. He demanded that I tell him where I hid Tall Willy's money because he had noticed Tall Willy's safe had been opened. I tried to explain the odor, and how I fell asleep.I told him he should inquire of the strange crew in the barn, for surely they would know what had happened. But, as he went to put handcuffs on me, he said that he had already been all through the barn and that there was no sign that anyone had been there in a long time. So, I knew what I had to do. I punched the sheriff square in the jaw, grabbed his gun, my guitar, and I ran as fast as I could. And I'll keep running until I find that "Black Pearl" and make her and her crew pay for what they did to Tall Willy.
