Emmeline Miles is a pint-sized singer/songwriter from Dallas, TX who revels in big words, unconventional chords, and persistent melodies. A pianist since age four and a songwriter since twelve, Miles made her musical debut conducting an orchestra of stuffed animals in her parents' living room. Eventually, her audiences grew to include bath towels, bedsheets, and closets full of clothes. With the love, support, and encouragement of her incredibly amazing friends and family, Miles developed the courage to take her act out of the sitting room and into the studio, where she is now recording her debut album (appropriately titled "Out Loud"). Her songs reflect her eclectic array of influences—which include Ani DiFranco, Billy Joel, Stroke 9, Matchbox Twenty, Mariah Carey, and Ace of Base (remember them?)—and she falls in love with new artists every day. Her voice has been described as vulnerable yet strong, feminine yet distinctive. She is grateful for the opportunity to make a living doing what she loves, and she aspires to a long, fulfilling career in which her degree in music and her penchant for punk rock can peacefully co-exist.
