This group all started out with a guy named Ricardo. He came from mexico when he was seven years old loving the rap/rock culture. He started going to school at Field Club, Where he met his soon to be best friend Miguel. They started hanging out and went all the way through high school together at Benson High in Omaha,Ne. This group all started out with a guy named Ricardo. He came from mexico when he was seven years old loving the rap/rock culture. He started going to school at Field Club, Where he met his soon to be best friend Miguel. They started hanging out and went all the way through high school together at Benson High in Omaha,Ne. There they met alot of friends. One day Ricardo and Miguel with all of their friends decided they didnt want to go to class so they skipped. This is how the ESK crew came together. When they skipped they went out to eat and they went to a friends house to hang out until school was out. While they were there they started messin around with some broken instruments and boxes. They made a beat and started making dumb raps. A light bulb went off in Ricardos head. "Why dont we make a rap group?" he thought. So he told the guys and they really liked the idea. The next day they skipped too and figured out nicknames for everyone. Ricardo's nickname at the time was True Pimpin (lets just says lots of girlfriends lol) which later turned into Assassin. Miguels was Lushious which turned into Lushdog. Now his name is Neb-t (Nebraska Thug). And their friends had nicknames too. That night when he went home he told his nephew that they were gunna make a group and he wanted to be in it too. His name was Daniel so they called him Taro-Dan (nickname from childhood). They all kept working on their songs and raps and when it came down to skill only Assassin, Neb-T, and Taro-Dan had the skill. They pretty much dropped all the other guys in the group and became ESK (every.skipper.knows.) ESK started getting together and making songs on Ricardos Mom's computer with a standard comp. mic and the voice recorder. Thats how they recorded their songs. That summer they started going to this club at the S.O.I.A. building called Fiesta Latina. It was ran by a guy named Marcos Mora. He is head of the Latino Productions. ESK had been talking to Marcos about how they started rapping and he might like some of the songs. So ESK brought in a c.d. and Marcos listened to it, and Liked it!! Marcos asked one of the ESK members to enter a freestyle contest that he was going to have. So Assassin said he was down. They went to the club Assassin ripped it against this guy called Mummy and he killed him. Everyone loved what Assassin was droppin on the Freestyle so they started making a c.d. The name of ESK’s first c.d. was Ballin Shinin’. They started performing regularly at Fiesta Latina. One day Assassin was listening to the radio and he heard about a competition to open up for Pitbull. This was really big for ESK. So right away Assassin went down and applied and auditioned with ESK and they got it. They performed at the Mid-America Center. It seemed like the crowd really liked ESK. The song they performed was called Tootsie Roll. It was a bad quality song but every one loved it. It’s a really catchy song, they even played it on the radio . A couple months later they joined Beats For Peace. A lot of other people from Nebraska performed in this also. But ESK always stood out because they were Mexicans rapping. They started performing at Quince’s and birthday parties. The next year they got invited to Utah by a singer to open up for NB Ridaz and Baby Bash. They couldn’t believe they had made ESK so big. After going to Utah everything in ESK’s career started falling into place. Now they have a lot better studio equipment and computers. The songs were in a lot better quality. Even though it took them three weeks to read the manual, they did it because they wanted ESK even bigger. ESK decided to make their own concert outside the S.O.A.I. building on April, 20, 2007. They called it the Spring Bash. They invited various artists from all around Nebraska. At this time the ESK group had been changed and Expanded. The group consisted of Assassin, Neb-T, Taro-Dan, Cuau-Wow, T-Baby, Q-Low and Y-low. They charged to get in and it was packed. From wall to wall, It was complete kaos. Later that year they got invited by D.J. Seven and William to audition for the Source Unsigned Hype Competition. After auditioning and all their hard work on the songs they got it!! They were invited with some other groups that had auditioned to go to UNL in Lincoln, NE. It was hosted by; The Source Magazine, CXPX Records, and Derrty Dj’s. Assassin, Neb-T and Cuau went and performed Grippin Wood Grain. So far in 2008 ESK had accomplished a lot and they still have a lot to accomplish. So far they have performed at various parties and also they were invited to the Cinco de Mayo Parade here in Omaha, NE by First National Bank and Latino Productions. They were the first Mexican’s/rap crew to rap. Everyone else performed either Reggaton or Mariachi. It was amazing. Now ESK is working on getting their new c.d. out and building a new studio with bigger and better equipment. If you have any questions or comments please contact us.
