Since 2008, the line up has featured Dave Oliver on bass and lead vocals. With drummer Joe Walsh joining in early 2010.Center Drive plays a blues based style of hard rock and metal reminiscent of early 70’s rockers such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and ZZ Top. The band has taken much of the style and feeling of those acts while incorporating a more modern day style as well. The band’s live set features well known cover songs along with some of the bands original material.Center Drive puts on a high-energy live show that appeals to a wide audience. They have previously played Chicago venues such as the Elbo Room and Nite Caps as well as clubs in the Chicago area suburbs. The band also works hard to promote its shows through its web site and email mailing list, and through flyers and press in area media outlets. At the end of 2011. Things were not going right for Joseph,Dave, and Joe.They decided to part ways in Sept. of 2011. E.J. then started to regroup Center Drive, in late 2011.
