As a member of the first group out of Little Rock, Arkansas to be signed to a major record label, rapper Filthy Rich leaves an unforgettable air with anyone that he meets. Born and raised in East Little Rock, Arkansas Filthy Rich’s creative juices began flowing as a mere teenager which sparked the desire to become a rapper/entertainer in the music and movie industry. After high school graduation, he decided to leave his home to pursue his dreams as a rapper/entertainer.
His ventures led him from Texas to Long Island in search of opportunities in the music industry. In 2003 he collaborated with Don Blaze together they decided to hit the streets of New York City were they formed the duo group Lil Rok Playaz, after meeting producer Allstar, who is responsible for producing nationally known acts such as SWV,Omarion,Joe, Mistical,3LW,Coffee Brown and Teairra Mari just to name a few.
Producer Allstar immediately signed the duo group Lil Rok Playaz to a production deal which lead to a parent label deal with Kedar Massenburg who founded (Keg) Kedar Entertainment Group after leaving Motown/Universal. Kedar is responsible for launching the music careers of Erykah Badu, De’Angelo and India Arie. The duo group Lil Rok Playaz later signed a distribution deal with Universal Records, the group had regional success with the hit “Mrs. Jones” and “Thug 2nite” featuring r&b artist Joe. The experience with the group blasted Filthy Rich to new levels in his career and helped to mold him into a humble, hungry, clever and dynamic artist that he is today.
On his new mission Filthy Rich states “Losers make excuses, Winners make it happen”. He has opened up stages for recording artist such as Young Buck, Lil Boosie, Mike Jones, Lloyd, Killer Mike, T-Pain, Chamillionaire and many more. Having all the makings of a rap sensation has allowed him to jump start his solo career. Filthy Rich has worked hard to play in the music industry and has done his fair share of opening shows for great recording artist. This go round Filthy Rich is set to be the main attraction this time, his anticipated over due album “DA RICH LIFE” is set and ready to go summer 2009.
