"This young man is on his way," states former A&R executive, Holly Hutchinson (Capitol & Atlantic Records). Frank possesses a "beautiful vocal tone" and employs "compelling songwriting," adds Hutchinson.
Though he didn't pick up music until he graduated high school, Frank Hurd has won a number of songwriting competitions in the short time since, including the prestigious "Show Me The Music International Songwriting Competition" in 2010. He has also performed in front of thousands of people in half a dozen states. In early 2011, he signed a publishing contract with Reach Global Music and has since garnered the attention of record labels, renowned producers, and music management personnel.
Recently, Frank has opened for Ben Kweller, had his music featured in an independent film, collaborated with Grammy award nominee, Flame, and worked with legendary producer, Elliot Mazer (Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Willie Nelson).
In December of 2011, Frank released an EP called "American Blend" with his band, Phoenix Highway. He is currently finishing his degree in Music at Elon University in North Carolina, and recording his debut solo album, "Pressed For Time" (due Spring 2012).
