About Frustration Frustration, born Melvin W. Reed III on August 9th 1986 in Gary, Indiana, was born to two loving parents Demetria & Melvin Reed Jr. They have been together since 1984 then married in May of 1993. Demetria got pregnant with Frustration at age 15, by age 9 Frustration discovered a passion for music. Growing up around family that liked to party he listened to artist like Too $hort, Run DMC and any other old school rappers you could think of. He was into a lot of sports in his elementary years, but his main thing was music. He would always find his self getting kicked out of class for rapping during study time, and would always participate in freestyle battles on lunch hour. His whole life turned upside down when he lost his Grandpa, Melvin Reed Sr. to cancer in 1998. So confused at age 12 he stopped playing sports and began taking music serious. His Grandpa was a big influence in his life and losing him was the motivation to focus on music. At age 14 two years into middle school he and two friends formed a group called Tha Squad. They began performing at all the talent shows and local clubs, the feedback from the crowds was amazing. Being only 14 at the time, and seeing the crowds reaction let him know that the time was now to go hard with his music. At age 16 freshman year in high school, frustration met his high school sweetheart. He stayed in the spotlight and had lots of friends, he was a very popular kid. While in high school, he met 4 more guys and welcomed them to Tha Squad, they were 6 guys strong, and dropped their first album in 2002. While promoting the album around the city and all the local mom and pop stores, the album did pretty good and that got there name in the streets. One year after the release of the groups album, Frustration decided to leave the group and pursue his solo career. While working hard on his solo career Frustration dropped his first solo album “ Last Thousand Heart Beats”, within the same year. In June 2005 Frustration joined the label P.O.T.O.T.G. which was another boost in his career. After his high school graduation, Frustration and his high school sweetheart gave birth to a 5lb and 9oz little boy, on December 28,2005. Frustration called his son a new creation of life , he now had something to really keep him motivated. Frustration has a saying “Everything I do, I do it for him” in reference to his son Alijah W. Reed. With the music industry at it’s highest point, Frustration hopes to become the next hottest artist , especially for his city Gary , Indiana .
