Mike (Murkman) Campbell-Hendricks, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Before his 2nd birthday, his father was sent off to prison and mother was left alone to raise her only son on the streets of Little Rock. By the age of five Murk was sent to stay with his grandparents, in a crowded 3-bedroom house with 14 other relatives. Although, his grandparents did a good job of taking care of him by the age of seven Mike joined his first gang (Vice Dice) Pre Blood-n-Cripps era in Arkansas. During this time, he was getting in a lot of trouble and Murk was sent to Houston to live with his mother when he was 9 years old. Murk lived in Houston until the age of 12. When he moved back to Little Rock all of his friends were in a gang called Piru (Bloods), Murk chose not to join in the with the Bloods but still was associated by his friends but felt he could get more done by himself so he chose to be O.M.G (One Man Gang). Murk was kicked out by his father at age 15 and started selling drugs, with his uncle. After a couple of profitable years, Murk was shot in the head at the age of 17 in a setup by some so-called friends. After a two-day stay in the hospital Murk was ready for revenge, but his mother stepped in and brought him back to Houston where he currently resides. Murk chose to write about his life and friends he lost in the gang war and begin writing rhymes after listening to the Geto Boys album (Grip It! On That Other Level), but never took rap serious until meeting Beezoe who told him you got a story to tell. This is how Ruffhize Game Officialz began. Game Officialz started making underground tapes not to be released but just for their own pleasure of listening to good music. One of their tapes got into the hands of (Spook) of Rap-A-Lot Triple Beam Records but before the album was complete Spook was sent off to prison, which meant back to square one for the Murkman. After giving up on a rap career Murk picked the MIC up again in 2002 and began rhyming and reformed Game Officialz along with Beezoe in 2005, and released (Hood Shit) underground that made a little rumble in the hood. With the lack of promotions, it was stopped from being one of the best undergrounds to hit the streets. Now their back with an original album “Swagga Check-On!!! sure to be an instant success and classic.
