March 9th is a huge day in hip-hop history. For those of you that are not aware of the signifance of this date, this is the day that legendary rapper Biggie small was murdered. This day also marks the birth of another rapper. A rapper named Enigmatic. Enigmatic is not your average rapper. He doesn’t come from a broken home, has never sold a single drug in his life, and much to your surprise feels much more at home in Hobart,in where he currently resides then in his old south side Chicago neighborhoods. The odds are not stacked against him, nor is he holding a royal flush in his hand. If you ask him hes just a regular guy leading a regular life, But if you ask the people closest to him they all agree. Enigmatic is special. No one can pin-point exactly what it is, yet they all say the same thing. Enigmatic is one of a kind, and the world will never have another one like him. Passion. That’s the first word that comes to mind when I listen to Enigmatic’s music. He comes through the speakers with such tremendous intensity that at times its overwhelming. Every song is a journey, and if your willing to listen; he’s willing to open up his heart and invite you in. no punches are pulled and no apologies are made. If you were to ask hip-hop fans today what’s wrong with hip-hop music now-a-days. The usual reply is heart and soul. Well Enigmatic is not lacking in either Department. Most artists sprinkle bits and pieces of their personal life in their music, but not Enigmatic. Unlike most hip-hop artists he does not feel the need to prove how much money he has, or how many females he has taken back home. His music is a literally littered with his personal life experiences; from his car blowing up in Texas, the passing of his grandfather and how it tore his family apart. to his inner struggles and insecurities he deals with on a everyday basis that he doesn’t feel the need to hide, and instead of letting all this bring him to the brink of destruction he takes it all in and presents it to you in such unique way that you have no idea but to wonder who exactly is enigmatic?. Enigmatic attacks every beat head on, and speaks with an intensity that only comes from knowing exactly who you are and what you want. He leaves you with no other option but to listen to him. Your attention is captured from his very first word and he doesn’t let it go till hes ready to let you leave.
