Glasko began in September of 2006, when Eric Michaels (vocals, piano, and guitar) began recording several songs he wrote in his basement. The demo received a surprising amount of interest, peaking at an offer from producer Justin Mannhardt of McNally/Smith Studios in St. Paul, Minnesota. The offer: one full-length album for free. There, Eric enlisted Matt Cordenoy (bass), Mike Sheiman (lead guitar), and Andrew Sabo (drums), to finish the 11 song album, “Unc”. The recording went so well, the quartet decided to remain together, and are currently performing in and around Chicago. Glasko has played numerous shows around Chicago, including venues such as the Underground Lounge, the Elbo Room (with a guest appearance of Jimmy Stafford from Train), the Fiesta Cantina, the Double Door, the Fizz, and the Mutiny. A small following is starting to gather from buzz off of a Vh1 song of the year contest (January 2007 runners-up for "Wishing Well"), the recent win of a Loyola University sponsored Battle of the Bands, a documentary recorded in March, a featured track on a nationally distributed compilation from Quickstar Productions entitled, "Chill Out", and hard, promotional work.
