While attending church he participated in the church choir where he further learned harmony & his vocal abilities. In high school "G" joined the school choir & sang for 2 years. It was in the high school choir that he was reunited with an old high school friend Sonjarae "Sonzie" Wright. On graduation day "G"played some of his music for Sonzie & she informed him that she to was into creating music, it was at that point that "G" decided to create a music supergroup consisting of Gary, Sonjarae (Gary's best friend), Keyana (Gary's sister), Xavier (Gary's brother-in-law), Darryl (Gary's best friend), & Carlos (Gary's best friend), who would all sing, rap, produce, write & engineer all their own material under the name of Jymenii . The group produced several songs but never took off after 2 years of hard work. Unfortunately in 2009 the group parted ways but still remain best friends today. G & Sonjare then formed another group called OneKey which also unfortunately folded after 2 years. Now a solo artist G has grown into a very talented singer-songwriter, producer, rapper & engineer. His music may be described as r&b/soul & hip hop. G's music often tells stories from a perspective rarely heard in r&b music. Sometimes his music is dark & ethereal, at others are happy & fun.
