Dan Schaefer, better known as Great D is a bad ass rapper from the dirty south representing South Beach, Miami, FL who is also working as a producer, an artist performing on the drums, the piano, the guitar and the bass, a singer, song writer and composer. Young Dan came a long way from the Rock N' Roll game playing drums and taking care of the songwriting and the lyrics for the Metal band 'Sudden Death' and several Rock and Punk Rock bands. His first touch with Rap music was way before that, when he wrote the song 'Oldschool' with his friends Jam-Masta Man and his first partner in Hip Hop, the Bad Azz Tank, the song was even played on a college radio station, when the 3 rappers have been 14 years old. Until his highschool graduation Dan has been holding on to his dream of the music, when he finally had to join the army. In his time in the military Dan met Chris K., a.k.a. K-Force 1, the 2 set up as a team during infantry training and months later they got their Rap game started by forming the rap clique 'Zero 14 Division' and writing their first songs. By that time Dan took Chris to the City of Chicago, IL and around the Midwest, which inspired both to step up in the Rap game and put on for their music. Dan was workin on the first beats and in February 2008 they recorded their first song 'Stars N' Strips'. Then they took a trip to Miami, FL, where they met rapper T-D.O.T. and were able to get to a next level with business by writing the gangster anthem 'Guns In 60 Seconds' and their ode to the Playboys' Paradise 'Ocean Drive By'. Back in their military installation they got their grind on and recorded more and more songs, while their roommates Saniok and Lil Chesta - the Don joined the Division. The Don was impressed by the way Chris and Dan were out there grinding for their dream and stayed with them through the good and the bad times while Saniok had a twist of fate in early 2008 which brought him to the state penitentiary. His destiny became a part of Great D's music right away. By the end of their time in the service both, Chris and Dan knew about going different ways. Great D was getting deeper and deeper into the Rap game as a producer and as an artist, while Chris decided to move to the Ska game. Great D recorded his first solid solo album 'Bringin Tha Heat' in October '08 including the hit single 'My Baby' feat. Sarah Lee. Since he was born a hustler he could not stop with this one album and got his grind on as a producer and artist, while he met Pamela K. from Houston, TX who started working together with Dan in the music business. The way he had to go has not always been easy, Great D finally had to face justice for violating the laws of the U.S. Army, but this was never meant to be a reason to stop Young Dan from doing this thing and keeping it real. By the end of 2008 Dan flew out to New York City for the New Years Eve Bash and for making a new start in the big apple and bringing the music career to a next level. He met producer and artist Supaviza J.T. from Detroit, MI and became friends with the rap clique Frontlyne Entertainment from straight outta NYC. While being able to promote his album Dan was also inspired big time by the Broadway spirit and found his love for a lot of genres, but staying focussed on Hip Hop but still not keeping his Rock N' Roll roots on the low. Currently Great D is working on his 2nd solo album 'Chapter II: Hustler's Ambition' including the hit single 'Hatin' On Da Low' and the piano ballad 'Lady From Queens'. At the same time he is working together big time with Pamela K. as her producer, networking and promoting his friends in the Hip Hop game like Porscha from Atlanta, GA, and setting up collabs with rapper Imfasiz from New York, NY after his successful contest collabs for the song 'Everbody Else' feat. T-Pain. So check out the upcoming HEAT which Great D and everybody he is working together with will be BRINGIN!
