Singer/Songwriter, Griffin Anthony, 26, has become one of America’s best-kept-secrets on the current music scene. From his humble beginnings as a drummer in a childhood band (“The Ripptides”), to working as a stagehand at the famous Newport Jazz Festival as a teen, his life-long love for a diverse variety of music has given insight to his own unique mixed-genre, which he refers to as “Acoustic SouP” -- an intriguing blend of Soul and Pop. Artistically textured, Griffin layers his lyrics and blues-inspired melodies within the framework of his vocals. A New York native, Griffin tours the Eastern US year-round. Listed as the #1 Unsigned Blues artist in the State of FL on the MySpace Top Artist Charts, Griffin has found great success in utilizing social marketing. In 2009 Griffin signed with BMI and Orange Music Publishing. He’s been featured several times on WILD 95.5 (Kevin/Virginia Morning Show), performed live on CBS morning news, and has performed at a slew of prestigious summer festivals, including SunFest 2009, Sunfest 2010, Carnaval On The Mile, The Delray Beach International Film Festival and the Florida International Blues Festival. Griffin has played countless shows at popular venues throughout the North and Southeast US. Griffin’s self-titled EP debuted in August ‘07 with an outpouring of praise and stellar reviews. His signature track from that release, “Sleepy Sunday,” steadily climbed the Clear Channel Charts and was most recently featured on ABC in their Fall 2009 programming. January 2, 2010 marked the official released of Griffin’s long-awaited full-length album (“Crazy Ways”) -a collection of 10 thought-provoking and toe-tapping original tracks recorded in Miami, Nashville and NY, along side Grammy-winning engineer, Charles Dye (Ricky Martin, J-Lo). Sold in over 40 international digital and physical stores, the album has gotten much attention from Universal Motown Records, Sony ATV, music bloggers, newspapers and magazines. Currently, Griffin’s in the process of filming the video for “Let Go,” with Emmy-winning filmmaker, Nelson Cabrera, at the helm. Griffin has shared the bill with artists such as, James Taylor, David Cook, Gin Blossoms, Citizen Cope, Matt Nathanson, 311, The Steve Miller Band, Erin McCarley, Weezer, Spam All-Stars, Five For Fighting, Ben Harper and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
