About Guineac
Serrekunda, Gambia
Guinea C was formed in 2004. All members of the band were born or raised in Guinea, West Africa. We call our country Guinea Conakry, to distinguish it from its neighbor Guinea Bissau. To honor our homeland we named the band Guinea C. We also painted our instruments in the color of the Guinean flag: red, yellow and green.
