The San Fernando Valley native grew up listening to everything such as late greats Isaac Hayes and Barry White to legendary producers D.J. Quik and Dr. Dre. “ I’m bringing the Watts Staxx Feel back to the fore front, and im doing it how i see fit. Im not trying to cater to one specific generation or target any one group. I want to touch masses.” In the summer of 2004, after serving five years in the Navy, Gold returned to California and quickly began work on the independent infrastructure known today as HABITUAL DIVIDENDS ENTERTAINMENT, shorty after, releasing its first LP entitled “THE HAPPY HOUR KANGS” featuring Los Angeles rapper Chubby Boi Hawkins. Armed with a will for success and dedicated to his craft, a determined young Solid enrolled himself into Hollywood’s prestigious Musicians Institute where he studied the art of recording technology, completing the required curriculum necessary to obtain the title of Audio Engineer.
