Well People, what can I say about myself that would be of interest. I was born into an Amish household. When I was 4 years old My folks left the Amish, but my Dad referred to himself as a half-fast amishman. We listened to a wide variety of music. On sunday mornings Dad always had polka music blaring while he played his set of rythmn bones(or rattle bones). Mom always sang and yodeled. My oldest sister listened to this fella from Memphis named Elvis Presley.(At one time I could mimic him quite well.) Then there was Hank Snow, Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams Sr., Bill Anderson, George Jones, to name a few. Then As I got older I started listening to the Beatles. Then Credence Clearwater Revival, ZZ Top,Foreigner, AC/DC,(You Shook Me All Night Long, Baby!) I taught myself to play guitar when I was eighteen. Dad had a little electric guitar that was perfect to learn on. A year later I bought my first guitar for $199. It was a Kay. In 1998 I bought myself a Martin DM, a very fine guitar, and continued to entertain my friends and family. It wasn't until the fall of 2007 that I really started writing. At the same time I started playing at open mic venues. Mostly doing original music. I've done several 2 hour shows and I'm looking to expand my audience. I've built up a small fan base and I hope to increase that here on OurStage.com I've been told I sound like Arlo Guthrie and Hank Williams Sr. There is a definite "country" sound to my songs. Kinda folksy. I have close to 60 original songs. And I'm writing new ones on a regular basis. I do have a sense of humor and it is reflected in some of my songs. Hope you enjoy my songs. Tell your friends.
