High freq is a band that can best be described as experimental alternative. With an ethereal mind-bending progressive stile, Largely influenced by classic bands such as , pink Floyd , black Sabbath , Rocky Ericson and the thirteenth floor elevators, genesis with Peter Gabriel etc., also raised on 80,s punk like GBH, The Exploited , early butthole surfers etc. one of the good things about being a punk in the 80’s was you could get away with hanging out with the new wavers and the bat cavers so you got good exposure to a wide range of club music as well, let us not forget metal , acid house and drum and bass through the 90s, with a wide range of influence high freq creates an all original inventory of songs that will entertain all age groups. In the summer of 2010 high freq hit the local bar scene With their first limited release (more like a test run) “long range transmissions” and sold all 300 hard copies and many more over the internet, currently they have two singles in the rotation on various radio stations, their live performance is very professional, inoffensive, and quite fulfilling. High freq is a three piece power trio charged by Calvin King, bass guitar, keyboards & backing vocals, “static” Jim Van natter, percussion. And Mike Hodgson, lead/rhythm guitar & vocals Fans are eagerly awaiting their second full length release in January 2012 this will also kick off a western states tour to promote the release, the album is as of yet untitled, but is guaranteed to provide solace for the teaming masses with the impending end of the world so near.
