The Homecoming can’t get away from being described as the “Christian Jonas Brothers” with a clean image, good looks and a power pop dance sound which has earned the band a large fan base from all over the world. Considering everything The Homecoming has accomplished over the last couple of years, it is hard to believe this 3-piece group from Akron, Ohio started off as a side project to another band. The Homecoming made their national debut in 2009 at Cornerstone, arguably the world’s largest Christian music festival, thru a personal invitation from Traa Daniels - the bass player of P.O.D. and the president of Ryot Phoenix Music and Media. That summer, The Homecoming outperformed the other 25 bands that were featured on the Ryot sponsored stage by playing for bigger audiences and selling more merchandise - including the Ryot ‘s own label group, The Wrecking, a band frequently heard on the nationally syndicated Christian radio station, Air 1. As a result, Cornerstone used the band’s song, So Loud, in the festival’s 2010 promotional video. In 2010, The Homecoming performed and sometimes headlined festivals all over the country including The Fest, Riot on the River, Hopefest, Sonfest and Ignite Fest - east Alabama's largest Christian music festival. The band shared the stage with Hawk Nelson, John Reuben, Rush of Fools, Thousand Foot Krutch, Disciple, Fireflight, Deas Vail and Disney Radio's Savannah Outen - for some audiences exceeding 5000 people for their performance. The Homecoming also played a sold out show at the notorious Cleveland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Homecoming has been named the spokesperson for My Broken Palace (www.mybrokenpalace.com) in 2011 and performed at the Chick-fil-a owners and operators conference as a result. The Homecoming’s first single, So Loud, has almost 75,000 MySpace plays and was used by the Cleveland Browns at the stadium during home games for most of the 2009 season and all of last season. The song gets radio air-play and has been the featured song on many music sites. So Loud was part of Splatter Clothing’s 2010 summer promotion. The Homecoming licensed their music to be used by MTV and on second season episodes of The Drive TV, a Christian reality show that will be seen on 20 different stations in 200 countries. The band has also filmed a live performance that aired on Exit 16, a music video show on JCTV.
