Jdubjuschillen is one on the most versatile rappers of his origin born in Third Ward and raised in Southpark side of Houston. He refers to his articulate style as being a street poet. He believes in reflecting issues of the world in a perspective of the streets of an inner city environment. Jdubjuschillen was first known as J Dub however he decided to add just chillen to his name to reflect his personality. He began rapping and freestyling at the age of 12, but it wasn't until he reached college at 18 when he started to put the pen to the pad. At this age, he found an extreme interest in music that was hidden. His grandmother bought him a kareoke machine for christmas and that is where the freestyling began with him and his friends making classical freestyle session tapes with high potential to excel.Since then he never stopped freestyling even when he was alone.He often freestyles on records due to his prior experiences as a beginning freestlyist yet he still sways back and forth because of the orginality that is created when writing a masterpiece of hip hop music. It all started in high school just playing around on the kareoke machine at the crib then eventually became TMC. Try-Me Click is a metaphore such as when you go to toy r us and see toys The toys read "Try Me." As a street poet in TMC, we feel that society has that kind of label on us and we feel obligated to reverse the effect by making music that you can feel by representing flyness in TMC and demonstrating try me.
